What we never do

Models provided by macOS

The first time you use a language, macOS downloads Apple's on-device speech recognition and translation models for it. The system does this under Apple's Privacy Policy; it does not go through Hushpiece and carries none of your meeting content.

Permissions

You can turn these off at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Transcripts and deletion

Each meeting's text transcript is saved in the app's data folder (menu bar → Meeting records → Open folder). Delete the files, or the app, and they are gone. We have no access to them, so we cannot restore them either.

Recording notice

Hushpiece does not record audio, but it does turn the conversation into a text transcript. If your jurisdiction or company requires telling participants, please do so.

Children

Hushpiece is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
